Karla squeaked as the cat jumped back up onto the bed, having forgotten about it when Millie had showed her The Weave. She wondered vaguely what the cat would have looked like with magical sight.

She shook her head vehemently at Millies next words. She wasn't a kid anymore! She didn't need anyone to keep her company at night. She held her head high and stated in her best grown-up voice, "Thank you Aunty, but I'll be fine on my own. You should get some sleep too."

Millie grinned, almost letting out a giggle, "That's good to hear." She picked up the cat and headed towarded the door, "Good night little one. If you need anything, I'll be in my room." With that, the caretaker closed the door behind her and snuffed out the candle with a quick chant of magic.

"I suppose you want me to look up on that gnome..." The cat looked up at Millie as they headed to her room.

"Not necessary... besides, asking a deity for help requires some form of repayment... which I'm not willing to..." The celestial grinned, "I somewhat know who this... gnome is..."
